Motherhood is Sacred and Fatherhood is Sacred
The mission of NAFFA is to strenth families by responsibly involving fathers and mothers in lives of their children, families and communities to provide happy and safe families. Mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, and other caregivers are welcome.
Priority will be given to those with active child welfare cases or those at risk of child welfare involvement.
Participants will need an electronic device with internet access.
12 weeks program for mothers, fathers, grandparents and caretakers.
When: Tuesday’s beginning January 16, 2024
Time: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Where: Zoom
Participants must complete 8 sessions to receive a certificate of completion.

NICWC is hosting a Qualified Expert Witness (QEW) Training on January 24, 2024 at NICC in Macy.
Qualified Expert Witnesses (QEWs) are require in court hearings for foster care placments an actions for termination of parental rights.
Court personnel should contact the Indian child’s tribe first to identify persons with knowledge of the cultural aspects of tribal life regarding child-rearing practices and family organization and structure.
